Raw Meat Diet for Our Dog

We have a black lab who has been sick since we got her. Up until now, she had always smelled and had sores all over her. Our dog, Midnight, was allergic to every kind of food we tried. We tried every commercial dog food there is plus vitamins, fish oil and apple cider vinegar. She would never improve and was in constant agony.

Well, about two weeks ago, we started her on a raw meat diet and I am happy to say, she is doing a hundred times better. She doesn't stink or have sores. She has so much more energy and wants to play. Midnight seems like a totally different dog.

We are still learning about this way of feeding since it is still new to us, but I know we made the right decision. We are thrilled that she is doing so much better and we can actually play with her. Plus, we can pet her now without being grossed out by her horrible odor!

  2. That's interesting! I have never heard of it for dogs. Our daughter's poodle had to go on a lamb and rice dog food because of allergies. I wonder of your raw food diet would work.

  3. Hi! I found you from the HSL Blogging Basics Blogroll. I am interested in natural and nutritional healing as well. What exactly do you feed your dog on a raw diet - and how much?

  4. I feed her a raw meat diet which includes the meat, bone and organ. I feed her around 2-3 percent of her weight in meat daily. She eats things such as chicken leg quarters or a whole chicken, red meat, beef heart, calf liver, etc.
This may sound expensive but I actually spend a little less than what I was spending on her organic kibble dog food before and she is much healthier.
